While costumes are highly encouraged, the following guidelines must be adhered to:

In accordance with the Health and Safety Measures all guest must wear a face covering at all times, this includes guest who would like to come in a costume.

If your costume includes a costume mask (defined as anything that covers one’s face), you must receive an approval to enter the venue/event. You will be inspected to make sure that a face covering is adequately worn underneath your costume mask. In other words, a costume masks is not an acceptable replacement for a face covering. Costumes featuring a costume mask must be removable with ease. That is, in the event that the attendee must be identified, a costume must not interfere due to its permanent nature.

If your costume does not include a costume mask, then you do not need to obtain an approval. However, you will be required to maintain a face covering on at all times.

Other costume rules and guidelines:

All costumes, props, and associated costume accessories are subject to inspection by security.

All costume props and weapons must conform to state and federal law.

Projectile costume props and weapons must be rendered inoperable.

Functional (real) arrows must have their tips removed and be bundled and zip-tied to a quiver.

Costume swords, must be tied to your costume in such a way that they can’t be drawn.

Costumes featuring stilts must be approved by the event staff.

At certain times, due to crowds and safety issues, people in oversized costumes may be asked to leave the venue.

If you are not open to have your costume, props, and/or associated costume accessories inspected, or if you are not willing to comply with these policies, please do not bring your costume, props, and/or associated costume accessories to the event.
